I'm racing to save lives, and I need your help.

I'm training to compete in the St. Anthony's Triathlon in St. Petersburg Florida on April 26th, 2009.

I've jumped on board as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training, and will be raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

This post would not be complete without thanking Danielle DeLonge, a friend who I haven't known for long, but who I've grown quite close to, and who was instrumental in convincing me to pursue this. As well as Andi Duncan, who was kind enough to inspire us with her stories of past triathlons, and who will coach and mentor us through the process.
